Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich

Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich

Some say we're pretty brave taking on the highly contentious Philadelphia Cheesesteak Sandwich - we say, why should the locals have all the fun?!

This is our version of the dish (haters gonna hate). What do you guys think? Leave a comment below and share if you love (or even just like-like).

Scotch Fillet Steak | 500g |
Capsicum (Green) | 1 | Sliced
Mushrooms | 200g | Sliced
Onion | 1 | Sliced
Olive Oil | To Coat
Worcestershire Sauce | 4 tbsp
Dijon Mustard | 2 tsp
Seeded Mustard | 2 tsp
Salt & Pepper | To Season
Cheese | 250g
Ranch Dressing | 2-3 tbsp
Bread Roll | Long

Step 1 | Place beef into an oven safe tray. Coat with extra virgin olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon & seeded mustard, and season well.

Step 2 | Add sliced capsicum, mushroom and onion, add another generous coat of extra virgin olive oil. Then place into the oven, preheated to 180c, for approx. 15mins.

Step 3 | Remove dish from oven, slice beef into thin strips. Return to tray, and mix well with other ingredients. Add generous top layer of cheese, and return to the oven for a further 5mins.

Step 4 | Scoop contents into a lightly toasted long bread roll. Garnish with ranch dressing (or blue cheese sauce).

Serves 2.
