Easter Egg Caramel Slice

Easter Egg Caramel Slice

This Easter Egg Caramel Slice recipe is the perfect plan for your leftover egg haul (if, by some miracle, that happens). A word of warning though, it is incredibly decadent, even by the biggest chocoholics standards (me).

• Chocolate Biscuits | 1 Packet
• Butter | 80g | Melted
• Dark Chocolate | 400g | Coarsely Chopped
• Thickened Cream | 300ml
• Carmel Easter Eggs | 15

STEP 1 | Line a baking dish with non-stick grease proof paper, allowing the sides to overhang,

STEP 2 | Process biscuits in a food processor until finely crushed. Add the butter and process until well combined. Press firmly over the base of the prepared pan. Cover with plastic wrap and place in the fridge for 30 minutes to chill.

STEP 3 | Meanwhile, stir the chocolate and cream in a saucepan over medium-low heat for 5 minutes or until smooth. Set aside for 10 minutes to cool slightly.

STEP 4 | Arrange the eggs over the chocolate biscuit base. Drizzle the chocolate mixture over the eggs, covering them completely. Gently shake pan to coat. Cover with plastic wrap and place in the fridge for 4 hours or overnight until set. Cut into squares.
